With most children unable to attend school amid the outbreak of Covid-19, and many parents now home-schooling their little ones, Spin Master-owned Sago Mini has launched Sago Mini School to support the transition.
This new learning platform for pre-schoolers, promises curiosity-led learning for children aged three to five. The revolutionary curriculum was developed with education and play experts to help little ones build maths, literacy, science and spatial skills as they discover exciting learning games and kid-tested topics.
The platform offers more than 50 holistic, child-led learning activities, each designed to encourage curiosity and keep kids engaged, with new content released monthly for subscribers.
Each learning topic is inspired by what kids are actually into, with learning material designed to keep them engaged and curious as they explore, learn and grow.
Parents can follow their children’s progress with the free Parent app, which keeps them updated with their little ones’ learning progress through real-time interaction, and photos of their kids’ creations, sent directly to their device.
Sago Mini School is available now for download from the App Store, with a seven-day free trial offer.
Sago Mini launched Sago Mini Box, earlier this year, which is a subscription service whereby families receive a box stuffed with make-and-play activities each month that teach modern skills to pre-schoolers through play. Each box is designed to build 21st-century skills like empathy, creative problem solving and emotional intelligence through play. The activities help to foster creative connections, providing ideas and the resources required for families to spend some quality time together. Plus, each activity and toy in the box is designed to be played with over and over and over again – and recycled when it’s done.
Sago Mini, a subsidiary of Toca Boca, a leading mobile-first kids’ brand, was acquired by Spin Master Corp in April 2016. At the time of purchasing the Toca Boca and Sago Mini brands, Ronnen Harary, Co-Chief Executive Officer, Spin Master said: “The acquisition of Toca Boca and Sago Mini, with their strong brand presence, allows Spin Master to develop a leadership position in the mobile app space for kids and rounds out our ability to entertain kids in both the physical and digital world.
"Older kids content consumption patterns have shifted to mobile devices and we want to be where the kids are. The Toca Boca brand, which is trusted by parents together with its network of millions of users, gives us a strong platform to continue to build on. We look forward to linking these mobile apps, which emphasize fun and creativity, with Spin Master's global capabilities across our toy and TV show businesses."
