Both Smyths and The Entertainer score highly with consumers in recent Which? survey
Smyths Toys Superstores and The Entertainer both scored highly in a recent consumer survey of top high street stores.
Thousands of shoppers were quizzed on their favourite places to shop by Which?, pulling from a list of 100 high street stores. Smyths came in joint 18th place, while The Entertainer was just a few rungs below in joint 24th.
John Lewis was bumped from the top spot by TV and audio experts Richer Sounds, sharing the number one spot with DIY and hardware retailer Toolstation. Meanwhile it was the discounters that drew the most criticism, with both Pounsdstretcher and Poundland in the bottom four. Morrisons was deemed the worst store, while rival grocers Tesco and Sainsbury’s fared slightly better in joint 88th. Asda was the highest rated of the Big Four in joint 67th position.
