The Big Four supermarket reveals strong financials with like-for-likes up 3.4% in first quarter 2017
Morrissons has posted a 3.4 per cent increase in like-for-like sales for the first quarter of 2017, the sixth consecutive quarter of growth for the Big Four supermarket.
The grocer’s chief executive David Potts said the positive performance was solid evidence the senior team’s turnaround plans were heading in the right direction, and that it was on track to “build a broader, stronger Morrisons”. David moved to Morrisons around two years ago to help revitalise its then ailing fortunes.
“We’ve been working hard to improve quality and lower prices,” he added. “We’re selling more things to more people.”
