The company behind the popular Crystal Art kits is expanding into the toy market with its first range designed specifically with kids in mind.
Making use of its popular Crystal Art format, Frameables is the newest range from Craft Buddy, and has been carefully designed to help children develop motor skills as well as improving their hand-eye coordination.
Using the on-trend diamond painting technique, Frameables kits require children to pick up crystals carefully using a magic pen, and then place them onto their assigned place on the sticky canvas fabric. Think painting by numbers, but with crystals.
Gary Wadhwani, co-director at Craft Buddy Ltd., says: “From speaking with our international distributors, stockists such as London Zoo and Whipsnade gift shops, and several of our independent toy shop stockists, we have come to learn there is a wide range of Crystal Art fans, with the craft especially popular among children aged six to 10. This led to the development of Frameables, a range designed solely with children in mind.
The kits come with colourful picture frames, allowing children to easily display their creative genius on a desk or shelf for all to see. Perfect for children aged six-plus, the designs are cartoon-based and feature cute and cuddly animals including restful unicorns, smiling teddy bears, friendly elephants, flying pandas and roar-some lions.
“We have had a great response to them from retailers who stopped by our stand at Toy Fairs in both London and Nuremberg who really enjoyed the vibrant colours and skills-based benefits of the product for young children,” Gary adds.
The Crystal Art range has been endorsed by the prestigious Good Toy Guide for encouraging creativity among children as well as offering a respite from the rigours of everyday life. BizzieBaby recently gave Craft Buddy its coveted Gold Award.
