Hornby Hobbies has launched an NHS Livery Competition across its brands. Raising money for NHS Charities Together, entrants have the chance to win their design on a slot car, a hitachi iep class 800 power car model, an Airfix kit, or a London bus model.
Scalextric Livery Competition
Scalextric, the world-famous slot-car racing brand owned and distributed by Hornby Hobbies, has launched a one-of-a-kind competition to raise money for NHS Charities Together.
To show its support to all the NHS Heroes who are working tirelessly to save lives, the Hornby Hobbies Scalextric team has introduced its NHS Livery Competition, where entrants have the chance to win their design on a one-of-a-kind slot car!
Urging fans both young and old to “Rally around for the NHS!”, the competition offers entrants the chance to have their designs judged by motorsport innovator Adrian Newey.
To be in with a chance of winning, entrants simply donate any amount to NHS Charities Together via the Scalextric NHS Livery Competition Just Giving page. Entrants must then send their entries to marketing@scalextric.com or comment on the competition posts on Facebook or Twitter, being sure to mention their username or email on the donation so the team can match up the donations with their entries.
The design of the Scalextric rally car can be anything of the entrant’s choosing – from the famous colourful NHS rainbow to a more subtle blue.
The winning livery will be picked by F1 design supremo Adrian Newey, which will be turned into an actual slot car that will be sent to the winner.
The competition closes Sunday 31 May 2020 at 23.59 GMT with the winning livery announced and contacted the following week.
All proceeds will go to helping NHS charities.
