Games and puzzles specialist, University Games is delighted to welcome Jessica Foreshew to the team, as national account manager, following the acquisition of The Lagoon Group last month.
Jessica has a wealth of experience in the gift sector, having joined The Lagoon Group in 2017 where she focussed on national and major accounts in the UK as well as working with international distributors. Prior to her time at Lagoon, Jessica also gained extensive experience in both the technology and cosmetic industries.
“Jessica is a fantastic asset to our sales team,” said University Games’ head of sales Mark Jones. Jessica’s role will see her work alongside Mark on major national accounts across both the toy and gift sectors.
Mark added: “She has brought with her a wealth of both customer and product knowledge that she has been able to share with our entire sales force, enabling them to get quickly up to speed on a large new product portfolio and customer relations.
“University Games has an extremely strong and successful sales team supporting our independent retailers across the whole of the UK. This is not something that has been part of the Lagoon sales strategy in the past but something that I am certain will be a huge benefit for the product range and Jessica will be vital in helping to support this.
“There is a great synergy between University Games and The Lagoon Group and the acquisition has opened avenues for both businesses across both the toy and gift sectors. Lagoon’s distribution into gift stores, garden centres, book shops and tourist outlets very much complements the areas where we are strong as a business.”
Lagoon has a fantastic range of games and puzzles including some common and complementary licences that are certain to strength both brands including The World of David Walliams, Professor Rubik, Einstein² and Question of Sport.
University Games is the name behind some of the ever-popular games including Smart Ass, Perudo, Subbuteo, What’s Up and Don’t Say it and a comprehensive portfolio of innovative products to cater for the whole family, from preschool through to adult.
