The event was originally planned to take place on Saturday 6 June at Oxford Wet N Wild, Oxfordshire, but will no longer go ahead.

The industry’s charity has no current plans to reschedule the event at a later date.

In a statement sent to TNP.MEDIA, organisers said: “Whilst this is a very unfortunate situation, the safety and health of the individuals and participants that take part in the event are of course the primary concern in the current circumstances and it is clear that a mass participation event such as the Toy Trust Activity Day is simply untenable in the current circumstances.”

With this year’s big day cancelled, the Toy Trust plans to relaunch the fundraiser in 2021 with a newly reinvigorated event to bring the industry together once the crisis passes.
