Roll out at Tesco in-store and online a sell-out success
Acamar Films and CAA-GBG’s recent Bing pyjamas launch at Tesco has proven a roaring success, with reorders confirmed within days of the nightwear hitting stores.
Kelly Scanlon, Global Buying Manager at F&F Clothing, Tesco, said: “Fantastic reaction to our first order of Bing. A great new offer for our youngest customer and the start of an exciting new relationship between Bing and F&F!”
Launched with apparel licensee Aykroyds on 3 April online and at select stores, high demand for the hot pre-school property has prompted requests for a unisex pyjama.
Bethan Garton, Head of Licensing at Acamar Films, said: “We are delighted to already see such enthusiasm for the Bing pyjamas within days of release, and look forward to it continuing with our new range of unisex pyjamas.”
Sion Aykroyd, Sales Executive at Aykroyds added: “We're super excited seeing the new Bing nightwear range launch at retail! It's had a great reaction and we're now busy working on a new extensive range for Christmas to fulfil the huge demand that's out there. Bingsters all over the country will be jumping for joy!”
Bing has been adapted for television from the insightful books by award-winning author and illustrator Ted Dewan. Produced by independent studio Acamar Films and Dublin-based partners Brown Bag Films, Bing has seen extraordinary success since it launched in 2014. A ratings hit on CBeebies in the UK and a top rated pre-school show on BBC iPlayer, Bing is the number 4 pre-school TV publishing property and the number 3 pre-school DVD property, with over 425,000 DVDs sold to date.
