Asmodee launches #PlayItOutdoors campaign with weekly £2,000 jackpot!

Asmodee has today (7 July 2020) launched a huge summer competition with its new #PlayItOutdoors campaign. The campaign, which encourages games fans to take their favourite board games outside to enjoy the Great British Summer together, offers games fans the chance to win a £2,000 prize every single week.

With the Covid-19 pandemic leaving many families largely stuck at home this summer, Asmodee is seeking to promote board games as the perfect activity to keep any household and social bubble entertained, with a focus on the joys of taking great games out into the garden or the park. 

Each week, the company will publish a post on its Instagram account @asmodeeuk, highlighting one of eight key gaming brands, that will then be given a substantial digital advertisting push to reach millions of UK consumers. All that entrants have to do to stand a chance of winning the weekly cash prize is to post a photo of themselves playing any of the eligible games in an outdoors setting, tagging @asmodeeuk and using the hashtag #playitoutdoors within the same post. 

Asmodee will be spotlighting eight of the best and most beloved family and party games, perfect for playing after a barbecue or on a sunny day in the park. The featured games are Dobble, Ticket to Ride, Rory’s Story Cubes, Catan, Bananagrams, Dixit, Just One and Codenames. Though each week’s post will highlight a different game, all eight are eligible choices for submission in entrants’ photos, no matter which week – including all individual products in their respective ranges – so titles like last year’s smash-hit Harry Potter Dobble can also be featured. 

In addition to digital advertising, Asmodee will also using a number of popular social media influncers to extend the reach and impact of the eight-week competiton to an even wider family audience, due to begin this week. 

With this promotion, Asmodee hopes to bring families and friends together to play more games this summer. The aim is to continue the impressive demand that has seen their games achieve record sales numbers since lockdown began. Retailers are encouraged to stock up on the featured products and to share Asmodee’s weekly posts to give their customers a shot at winning the weekly jackpot!
