Fiesta Crafts’ Head of Marketing Rob Trup has launched a new resource to support small, independent toy and gift retailers with their marketing.
The Real Store Club aims to provide usable, realistic ideas and tools for effective marketing activities online and in-store to cut through to consumers even as the high street faces the most challenging retail environment in recent times.
“The dilemma faced by retailers, is that not only has online shopping led to less footfall and sales, but the transformed digital consumer landscape means that previously ‘tried and tested’ marketing techniques are not providing nearly as much business as they used to,” says Rob.
Rob stresses that Real Store Club is not about retailing – independent retailers are already experts in their field, but often do not have time, money or man power to dedicate to large-sale marketing efforts.
“The good news is that we have seen lots of innovative and creative retailers across all retail sectors around the world who are bucking the trend and employing successful marketing tactics to bring back customers and make money,” Rob adds.
Members of the Real Store Club, which is free to join, will be able to take advantage of practical resources that shares the best of modern marketing and sales techniques. Upon subscribing, members will receive a booklet jam-packed with useful marketing ideas and tips to get them underway, with a promise of plenty more to come in the future.
Although Rob is linked with Fiesta Crafts, which has a vested interest in seeing small high street retailers succeed, Real Store Club is free and open to all toy and gift shops, not just Fiesta customers.
