LEGO is building up to a big Christmas with a pair of brand-new store openings at two of the UK’s biggest shopping districts.

readying to open ahead of the Christmas rush, brick fans will be able to shop at new locations in Birmingham’s bustling Bull Ring and Southampton’s popular West Quay Shopping Centre.

These brand-new LEGO stores will have the widest selection of the latest LEGO sets and a whole host of exciting play experiences, activities and events only available in-store.

These include the ability for shoppers to call on the aid of Brick Specialists – LEGO expert who can help them find the perfect set – or opt instead to go wild with the Pick and Build Wall, filling a cup with whatever pieces they choose.

AR experiences include the Digital Box, which lets consumers scan any box in-store and see it come to life in 3D, or get hands-on and take part in one of the monthly challenges or events.

These fresh new LEGO stores will also offer the full range of exciting new products only available direct from LEGO stores and shop.lego.com, including the likes of LEGO Stranger Things: The Upside Down, LEGO Creator Expert Harley Davidson Fatboy, plus many more.

Alison Wood, LEGO Stores UK, Benelux & Scandinavia District Senior Manager says: “Builders of all ages can visit and be inspired by the endless play opportunities inside our new LEGO stores in Birmingham and Southampton. Whether you’re one or 100, there is something for you to get excited about.”

The LEGO Store Birmingham and the LEGO Store Southampton will be opening their doors during the run up to Christmas, with the exact the date of each grand opening set to be announced soon.

LEGO has also announced a number of new store openings across Europe. The Netherlands will welcome a new flagship in Amsterdam and a brand store in Utrecht, while two additional brand stores will open their doors in Marseille, France and Stockholm, Sweden.
