Mattel launches Barbie 60th Anniversary kids’ clothing line in its first fashion collab with the high street fashion chain

Barbie fashion line hits River Island thumbnail

Barbie and UK fashion chain River Island have collaborated on a stylish fashion collection for younger and older girls.

The range is dance and streetwear inspired, with a monochrome and pink theme throughout the range paying homage to the original Barbie’s iconic monochrome outfit.
The collection includes a black hoodie with a holographic print and the iconic Barbie logo, matching pink logo tee, leggings, a one-sleeved dance inspired top, and a graphic top emblazoned with the Barbie slogan 'You Can Be Anything' – to empower girls that they can be anything from an athlete to an astronaut!.

Gemma Daniels, Softlines Manager Mattel UK says: “We have had an exciting year of activity for Barbie in the iconic brands 60th anniversary celebrations. 

"We’ve expanded the franchise appeal across partners in fashion, homeware, stationary and more, and the River Island collaboration is part of a strategic move to offer kids apparel with fashion-forward collaborators.”

The collection, aimed at girls aged 0–12 years, launched 10 November 2019, available online and in selected flagship stores.
