Schleich pledges funds for Australian wildlife relief thumbnail

Schleich is joining the worldwide drive to raise funds for Australian wildlife by making a donation for every Australian wildlife figure sold through its online store since September 2019.

The toy company is pledging to make a donation for each purchase of its Koala, Wombat, Kangaroo, Quokka and Crocodile figures made from the company’s official online shops in Germany, Austria, Spain, France, USA and the UK. It will continue to donate for each purchase made until the end of March.
The donation will be made directly to the WWF (World Wildlife Fund) which directly supports Australia with saving wild life and restoring its natural environment.
Paul Dearlove, Schleich UK’s Trade Marketing Manager, says: “Australia's animals have long been part of our Schleich world and we are proud to be able to help in this small way.”
The recent bushfire crisis has devastated the natural wildlife in Australia. More than 10 million hectares of natural habitat have been burnt, and it is estimated the blazes have killed or affected 1.25 billion animals. Koala populations in particular have been severely impacted.
