Panini kicks off Premier League partnership with Adrenalyn XL Trading Cards thumbnail

Panini is kicking off its first season as a Premier League licensee with the launch of the Official Premier League Adrenalyn XL Trading Cards collection.

The official trading cards hit shelves today – 5 September – and will feature the Premier League’s top talent.

This collection features 469 trading cards from all 20 Premier League clubs, plus 26 limited edition cards for fans to look out for. Collectors can activate their cards in the free Adrenalyn XL app to trade and compete with their friends.

Mike Riddell, Managing Director of Panini UK, says: “We are incredibly excited to launch Premier League Adrenalyn XL trading cards and we are investing in an unprecedented marketing campaign which will take the UK by storm. This launch is a major milestone in our worldwide partnership with the Premier League.”

Collectors can get their hands on standard packs now, and further boost their collection on 12 September when the starter pack hits shelves, which includes a collector’s binder, game board, mini checklist, 24 trading cards, a magazine game guide and two limited edition cards.

“With this being arguably the highest profile collection of the year, we have spent a considerable amount of time researching the content, look and feel of the collection,” Mike adds. “We have a heavyweight marketing campaign behind the collection which includes investment in TV, VOD and digital.

“We will be working with key influencers and activating on our own social channels. There will be magazine cover mount activity and nationwide schools sampling campaign in addition to a Premier League Adrenalyn XL tour kicking off in late September. We will also be working closely with the Premier League clubs and grass roots football clubs across the UK and Ireland. There will be investment at retail across a broad range of sales outlets.”
