Spin Master is holding a Twitter launch party for its new Owleez brand this weekend, coinciding with
International Owl Awareness day on 4 August.
The Twitter party gives all UK followers the chance of winning their very own Owleez, alongside a special Owl Adoption certificate so they can help care for a real-life Owl for a year, too.
Already included in two major retailer’s top Christmas toy lists, Spin Master expects Owleez to make quite the noise on Twitter with the help of some of the UK’s top mum influencers, who are excited about being first to get their very own baby owl that they can really teach to fly.
Ranjit Dhutti, UK Senior Brand Manager for Owleez, says: “International Owl Awareness Day not only gives us a great reason to talk about Owleez but also to help support the fantastic work of the host of charities and conservation organisations whose work is to protect the best interests of these beautiful and majestic creatures.”
Spin Master is keen to use the opportunity to raise awareness of the growing plight of Owls being bred for domestic captivity. Bird of Prey and Owl sanctuaries all around the UK have a large number owls in their care, rescued from unsuitable homes.
“Owning an Owl as a pet has become extremely popular in recent years but they really need expert care to be able to look after them properly,” adds Ranjit. “With Owleez, you can now have all the fun of owning, caring for and teaching your baby owl to fly – leaving real life owls to live in the wild where they belong!”
The Owleez Twitter party will take place on Twitter on Sunday between 6 and 7pm and will mark the beginning of a significant and fully integrated marketing and PR campaign to support the launch of the brand in the UK.
