Sony Pictures Consumer Products has appointed Jazwares the master toy licensee for its upcoming animated musical movie Vivo, starring Lin-Manuel Miranda.
The toy line will hit shelves in autumn 2020 at retailers around the world, featuring figures, playsets, plush and more.
Jazwares will also launch a line of musical instruments through its subsidiary First Act, and continue to promote a love and appreciation of music to kids through the JazwaresCares philanthropic initiatives. Sony cited these on-going music initiatives as one of the key reasons Jazwares was a natural fit in bringing Vivo's musical adventure to life.
"We couldn't imagine a better fit for Vivo than Jazwares,” says Jamie Stevens, Executive Vice President, Sony Pictures Consumer Products. “Their love for music and ability to create great products will allow fans to bring the magic of Vivo home."
Laura Zebersky, Chief Commercial Officer at Jazwares, adds: "Finding a property as committed to the importance of music in a child's life as we are is a special, connected experience for us. Our line will bring to life Vivo's journey from Havana to sunny South Florida! Consumers can look forward to products that bring lush settings and vibrant characters to life incorporating music every step of the way.”
Vivo, featuring 11 songs written by Hamilton's Lin-Manuel Miranda, is coming to cinemas in from November 2020.
