Prince Harry and Meghan Markle appeared to spend the afternoon at Smyths Toys Superstores recently, where they picked up a Baby Annabell doll and accessories.
But all is not what it seems. In celebration of the impending birth of the royal baby, Baby Annabell released a series of spoof photos showing a convincing pair of Harry and Meghan look-a-likes with their ‘new baby’, adding further to the speculation that the little royal will be a girl.
Fun portraits also show the couple shopping in Smyths Toys Superstores for clothes and accessories for the new baby – played by Baby Annabell, with Meghan Markle holding the baby whilst proud father Harry picks out items. The couple are particularly impressed with the Baby Annabell Bedroom, while their Smyths Toys shopping basket is bursting with even more toys for their new baby.
Kasia Leskow, Marketing Manager for Zapf Creation UK, says: “It’s been great fun celebrating the new royal arrival in this way. We wish Prince Harry and Meghan all the best as they are in the final stages of preparing to welcome their baby. Baby Annabell is the perfect gift for the baby, and for any new parents, as the dolls follow a child’s development from the moment they are born through to their early school years. A perfect companion for each child as they grow.”
The shots received national coverage including The Mirror and The Express. The campaign is being supported by strategic PR activity and social media support though retailer and owned channels.
