The Toy Association’s North American International Toy Fair ranked at number 34 on Trade Show Executive magazine’s Gold 100 List of the country’s largest and most-accomplished trade shows in 2018.
The rankings were announced at the Gold 100 Awards & Summit held September 25 to 27 at the Fairmont Grand Del Mar in San Diego, CA.
The 2018 show was the 34th largest industry trade show in North America, based on net square footage of paid exhibit space. Toy Fair New York, the largest toy and youth entertainment product marketplace in the Western Hemisphere, moved up a spot from its 35th place ranking on the 2017 list. It means the show has now climbed 30 spots since its debut on the list 10 years ago, when it came 64th.
"As Toy Fair continues to grow in size and scope it remains an invaluable meeting place for global toy professionals who are passionate about the latest and greatest in toys, play, and youth entertainment,” says Marian Bossard, The Toy Association’s Executive Vice President of Global Market Events. “We are thrilled that the show continues to be recognized as we prepare to make some exciting announcements on what’s coming down the Toy Fair pipeline!"
Applications for new and returning exhibitors for Toy Fair 2020 have sold out and waitlist applications are now being accepted. The event will be held Saturday, 22 February to Tuesday, 25 February, and is expected to draw retailers, toy inventors and designers, licensing professionals, media and more from 100 countries.
